VASCO Bolsters Tokens

Chicago-based strong authentication vendor VASCO Data Security International has bolstered its hardware authentication offerings with the release of two new user authentication products for online commerce.

Chicago-based strong authentication vendor VASCO Data Security International has bolstered its hardware authentication offerings with the release of two new user authentication products for online commerce. Digipass GO5 and Digipass GO6 are hardware one-button authentication tokens modeled on the Digipass GO3 and GO1.

The new devices share functionality with previous versions, including one-time password generation and host authentication. According to VASCO, the new tokens support the advanced encryption standard algorithm. The devices also are waterproof.

The tokens work in conjunction with the company's VACMAN Controller server platform, where "almost 50 different client authentication products can be used a la carte, by any type or size of company or institution," said VASCO president and COO Jan Valcke in a release.
