The Bank of America CEO Does Not Suck, Thank You Very Much
In an apparent pre-emptive measure against the fallout from a Wikileaks exposure, the Bank of America has bought up a slew of insult web site URLs that include their senior executives names.
According to Domain Name Wire, a news source for the web site registration world, the bank has been aggressively registering domain names including its Board of Directors' and senior executives' names followed by the words "sucks" and "blows."
According to news reports, the banking giant registered a host of domains for BofA CEO Brian Moynihan alone. They include BrianMoynihanBlows.com, BrianMoynihanSucks.com, BrianTMoynihanBlows.com, and BrianTMoynihanSucks.com. For safe measure, the bank also picked up the .net version of these names and some .orgs as well.
The Domain Name reporter counted "hundreds of such domain name registrations on December 17 alone." The reporter writes that the domains were registered through an intermediary that frequently registers domain names on behalf of large companies.
Some of the other names are for CFO Charles Noski, Chairman of the Board Charles Holliday, and board member Charles Rossotti, who is also senior adviser for The Carlyle Group.
According to Domain Name Wire, the URL for BrianMoynihanBlows.info is still up for grabs.
