Paisley Consulting and Smartpros Launch E-learning Center for Audit and Control Professionals
Paisley Consulting, a Cokato, Minn.-based provider of business accountability solutions, and Smartpros, a Hawthorne, New York-based developer of accredited continuing professional education, have launched The Collaborative Assurance & Risk Design (CARD) E-learning Center. The CARD E-Learning Center provides access to online training to help organizations comply with the requirements imposed by Sarbanes-Oxley, Basel II, operational risk management and other corporate governance and compliance measures. Three Sarbanes-Oxley courses are available immediately to provide training on how to cost-effectively comply with Sections 302 and 404 of the act. Two modules on COSO Enterprise Risk Management, and risk and control assessment techniques also are available. These courses are the first in a series of broader operational risk offerings planned for rollout, including modules on grading control deficiencies for Sarbanes-Oxley and Basel operational risk management. "Recent changes in the regulatory environment have created a growing need in the marketplace for Sarbanes-Oxley and other operational risk training that can be deployed on a 'just-in-time' basis," said Tim Leech, principal consultant and chief methodology officer, Paisley Consulting, in the press release.
The training modules offered through Paisley Consulting's CARD E-learning Center initiative have been designed to meet the requirements for continuing professional education (CPE) credits.
ILumin Releases Assentor Upgrade for Enhanced E-Mail Management
ILumin Software Services, a Reston-Va.-based e-mail management technology provider, has released Assentor Enterprise 3.4, the latest upgrade to its flagship product. The new e-mail management suite includes features that provide Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) capabilities to help companies control how a message is stored, where the message is stored and for how long.
Improvements have been made to the suite's compliance module, such as new reports that are designed to support rigorous regulatory audit and investigation processes. Customers can use the enhanced reporting mechanism to see the percentage of messages quarantined by user groups. This version of Assentor also can create product and system administrator audit reports, enabling a firm to track any changes made to the Assentor system settings. All policy modifications for users, groups, supervision and retention settings are tracked and available in online reports.
ILumin's Assentor 3.4 is available immediately and is a free upgrade for existing customers.
