SIA SHOW: Wall Street & Technology Editor Wins Business-Press Award

Robert Sales has won the American Society of Business Publication Editors' bronze award for his story published in the Nov. 2001 issue of WS&T, "PHLX and NYSE Lend the Amex a Helping Hand."

Robert Sales, Wall Street & Technology senior editor, has won the American Society of Business Publication Editors' bronze award for his story published in the Nov. 2001 issue of WS&T, "PHLX and NYSE Lend the Amex a Helping Hand." The story focused on how the two exchanges helped the Amex immediately after the Sept. 11 attacks. Sales won the award for the Eastern Region in the case-history category. ASBPE said it received 2,254 entries this year -- the second largest number of applicants ever.

Sales has been a WS&T editor covering electronic trading and exchanges for six years. Last year he authored his first book called Trading Strategies for Direct Access Trading: Making the Most Out of Your Capital (McGraw-Hill).
