Dow Jones Newswires has released a test feed for its Dow Jones NewsPlus XML feed. The test feed provides an interface for Newswires' information for market-data vendors to integrate into their products. Thomson will be the first distributor to integrate Dow Jones NewsPlus into its Thomson One open-framework desktop application. The full feed is expected to be released by the end of the first quarter of 2003. Separately, Dow Jones Newswires will provide real-time coverage on Latin American markets to Thomson Financial's IFR Markets Web-based information service. As part of the agreement, news on Latin American markets draw from Dow Jones Newswires, Associated Press and The Wall Street Journal, will be commingled with Thomson IFR's analysis and commentary of the IFR Latin American markets pages of IFRMarkets.com.
Moneyline Telerate has released its WebStation Version 2.2 with new and enhanced features including data contribution capability, faster displays, price alerts, dynamic historical data retrieval in DDE and Dynamic Level II data. Version 2.2 was developed in response to customer feedback and aims to help users reduce infrastructure costs, improve disaster-recovery solutions and introduce more Web-based capabilities. WebStation is delivered over the Internet or dedicated IP networks.
Robert Leone has been appointed senior director, global relationships at FT Interactive Data. Leone will oversee the relationship management of some of FT Interactive Data's key global clients. Previously he was a partner at Global Investor Publishing, a provider of fund research data. Leone replaces Roger Sargeant, who was appointed managing director of FT Interactive Data, Europe this fall.
