OneChicago, the joint venture created by the Chicago Board Options Exchange, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade to trade single-stock futures and narrow-based stock indices, has selected the CBOE to disseminate its market data through the CBOE Financial Network infrastructure. The CME will provide contract-support services with OneChicago's data vendors and subscribers, who will be required to execute OneChicago's standard form agreement in order to receive the data. The message formatting for the OneChicago market data will conform to the Financial Information Forum's June 2001 proposal.
Kiodex, a Web-based risk-management-solutions provider, has signed a data- distribution agreement with Logical Information Machines. Kiodex global-market data, which includes over 60 different forward curves and volatility surfaces, will be made available to LIM customers. LIM provides analysts with access to historical, real-time tick, intra-day and daily data as well as tools for data analysis.
Dow Jones Newswires will calculate its first two electricity indexes with hourly market data. The Dow Jones Palo Verde and Mid-Columbia Hourly Price Indexes will be the first of several planned hourly indexes to be calculated in the future. The hourly indexes are published the following trading day, Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. and will be included with the real-time Dow Jones Energy Service as well as several other market data distributors.
