Dow Jones Newswires has signed an agreement with Logical Information Machines, a provider of historical, real-time, intra-day and daily data for the financial and energy markets, for its Dow Jones Electricity Indexes. Dow Jones Electricity Indexes will be available as an optional data set within LIM's data warehouse for use as benchmarks used to price contracts and analyze markets. LIM customers will contract with Dow Jones Newswires for access to the electricity price data and be able to use the information within their LIM data package.
Through an agreement with Orc Software, Reuters will offer software tools to directly connect with stock exchanges, as well as order management capabilities on its Reuters 3000Xtra solution. Users of Reuters 3000Xtra platform for price discovery, news and analytics will now also be able to access execution venues and manage their orders within the system. The offering will initially be rolled out in Europe over the next six months with the focus on the London Stock Exchange, Deutsche Borse and Euronext. The capabilities will continue to be developed in other Western European, Asian and North American markets.
TheMarkets.com has added information on corporate disclosure and brokerage house events to intuitional investor clients through a partnership with CCBN. The CCBN data covers 6000 public companies and 100 sell-side firms through its StreetEvents institutional events database. TheMarkets.com users will access the StreetEvents data through an interactive calendar.
