Thomson Financial, a New York City-based information and technology provider, has added aftermarket research data from J.P. Morgan Securities to its Investext database. The database contains embargoed broker research in aftermarket original-format research reports. It includes information from analysts at nearly 900 investment banks, brokerage houses and research firms. The database, which can be accessed through Thomson Financial products, as well as Lexis-Nexis, Gale Group, and other distributors, has over 5 million reports, covering 47,000 companies in 54 industries.
Informatica, a Redwood City, Calif.-based data-integration and business-intelligence-software provider, has announced its ability to support a new risk and compliance tool from IBM. The solution, IBM Risk and Compliance, aims at helping institutions address the forthcoming Basel II Capital Accord. Informatica's PowerCenter data-integration platform will enable firms to integrate disparate risk information into IBM's Basel II reference architecture. The Informatica platform uses a metadata-driven engine in order to support auditability and reuse of integration.
Jyske Bank in Denmark will implement Reuters Market Data System as well as Reuters 3000 Xtra at its offices in Silkeborg. The desktops will replace a third-party front-end tool, as well as competing products, according to a press release. In addition, Jyske will upgrade its Reuters 2000 data feed to a Reuters 3000 data feed. The desktops will be used on the trading floor and for market analysis. RMDS will feed the desktops, as well as other business lines such as risk management.
