Cox Joins Barclays; Northern Trust Promotes Daswani; The Depository Trust & Clearing Corp. Names Four Members to Board of Directors.

Barclays hired Archibald (Archie) Cox Jr. as chairman of Barclays Americas. Cox previously was president and CEO of Magnequench.

Northern Trust Global Investments (NTGI) promoted Sunil Daswani to head of client sales and relationship management for securities lending in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific. Previously, Daswani was regional manager for securities lending in Asia.

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corp. (DTCC) appointed four new members to the DTCC board of directors: Mark Alexander, managing director and head of global operations, Merrill Lynch; Ian T. Lowitt, co-chief administrative officer, Lehman Brothers; Louis G. Pastina, EVP of NYSE operations, NYSE Euronext; and Neeraj Sahai, managing director and global head of securities and fund services, Citi.
