Reality Online, a Reuters company, signed an agreement with Market Guide Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Multex.com, Inc. to make Market Guide Inc.’s investment research available as a premium service on Reuters Electronic Broker. The agreement, announced in mid-December, will allow Reality Online’s customers, which include top online brokers, to access Market Guide’s comprehensive data covering over 12,000 publicly traded U.S. corporations.

Hoover Online (www.hoovers.com) will market Datalink.net’s real-time financial information services to its online customer base. Datalink.net, which is a leader in Web-to-Wireless convergence, will be featured in key resource capsules, text links and other advertising throughout the Hoover’s business information Web site, including the Company Capsules, Market Data, News and Analys and IPO Central areas.
RoweCom Inc., Westwood, Mass., signed a definitive agreement to acquire NewsEdge Corporation, a Burlington-Mass.-based aggregator of global news feeds. The transaction was valued at $227 million based on Rowe.com’s closing price on Dec. 6. Rowe.com uses the Web to help businesses manage print and electronic knowledge resources (magazines, newspapers, books) through its flagship Knowledge Store (kstore) service.
