Singapore Telecommunications Limited, one of the largest companies in Asia, has selected SS&C Technologies' CAMRA 2000 portfolio management, accounting and analysis system. Singapore Telecommunications, which has a market cap of S$45 billion, will use the systems to manage its equity, fixed-income, mortgage-backed securities and derivatives holdings. They will also run SS&C's Performance Measurement, Compliance, Rebalancer and Trading Room modules, all on Microsoft Windows NT operating system.
Infinity's Panorama integrated trading and risk management application was awarded the prize for best Portfolio Management Accounting Solution in the securities category at Mircosoft's annual Industry Solution Awards for Financial Services. The Panorama system was also a finalist in the Securities Investment Decision Support Solution and best Wholesale Banking Solution categories.
Baseline, a subsidiary of Primark and provider of equity information and analysis products, has joined the Advent Alliance Program. Its BASELINE application, which delivers histories of company fundamental statistics, price action, ratios, earnings estimates, technical analysis and financial statements for over 8,000 stocks, will be integrated with Advent Office. The integrated product will use XML to enable portfolio holdings in Advent Office to be connected to the BASELINE information and analytics for active portfolio management.
Kestrel Technologies is joining TradeWeb's STP Partners Program, which works to provide automatic delivery of electronically-captured trade information into front- and back-office systems. Kestrel's RAPTr-NT trading system is an integrated pre-trade compliance module incorporating account and portfolio restrictions, allocation securities according to the restrictions. Through the program, TradeWeb will provide an open platform and open protocols for transaction records and files. It will allow Kestrel clients to create trade order records and files and upload trade objects from RAPTr-NT and extract trade information from TradeWeb's STP Transaction File and feed it back into Kestrel's system in real-time. The alliance is expected to provide greater efficiency in trading and investing over a wide range of securities and streamline trade processing.
