BGC Appoints Clive England as head of e-commerce for North America
BGC, the interdealer brokerage that provides integrated voice and electronic services to wholesale fixed income, interest rate, foreign exchange and derivatives markets, appointed Clive England director and head of e-commerce for North America. He will be responsible for all of BGC's e-commerce-related client services, business development and support in North America.
England says he aims to develop hybrid trading applications in North America by leveraging the company's technical backbone in the U.K. "We're looking to develop hybrid trading applications that can be used as an extension to voice brokerage to reach broader clients," he relates, adding that he is working aggressively to deploy the BGC Trader interface -- already released in Asia and the U.K. -- to help the FX options desk.
England joins BGC from GFI, where he was head of data and analytics for Europe.
