Michael Leibrock is currently the Chief Systemic Risk Officer for The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation ("DTCC") and has twenty six years of risk management experience at several U.S. and global financial institutions. In his current role Michael is responsible for the identification and monitoring of potential systemic threats to DTCC and the securities industry, actively engaging with DTCC clients and regulators on systemic risk topics and producing periodic industry white papers and other thought leadership products. Michael currently serves as co-chair of DTCC's Systemic Risk Council and is a member of DTCC's Risk Advisory Council.
Michael's previous roles include serving as Chief Counterparty Risk Officer at Fannie Mae and Senior Vice President-Head of Non-Bank Financial Institutions Credit for North America at Commerzbank A.G. Michael is an active speaker on systemic risk topics domestically and globally. He holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham University and is a 2014 Doctoral candidate in Finance and International Economics at Pace University's Lubin School of Business. Michael has served as an Adjunct Professor at New Jersey City University and Monmouth University.
