Jacob Loveless is a proven technology innovator with 15 years' experience in automated trading and advanced systems design. As co-founder and CEO of Lucera, Mr. Loveless is focused on introducing radical innovation in engineering that will change the future of financial computing.
Prior to Lucera, Mr. Loveless served as head of High Frequency Trading for Cantor Fitzgerald, an investment bank and brokerage known for its innovation in computer-based bond brokerage, where he lead a group of engineers and mathematicians to optimize electronic trading capabilities. Mr. Loveless' career spans both high frequency trading groups and exchanges, and covers nearly every electronic asset. Prior to his tenure at Cantor Fitzgerald, he was a special contractor for the U.S. Department of Defense with a focus on heuristic analysis, and earlier in his career, CTO and a founder of Data Scientific, a pioneer in distributed systems analysis.
Mr. Loveless is a frequent guest lecturer at New York University on big data issues and their impact on the financial services industry, as well as trends and challenges in high-frequency trading, low latency technology and system architecture.
