Ira is presently a Senior Vice President at Athene USA, and head of technology for Athene Asset Management, L.P. His responsibilities include information technology, application development and delivery - systems integration and architecture across the asset management businesses. With increased investments in technology platforms and infrastructure, Ira has been providing a greater focus on flexible, scalable and integrated suite of applications and tools to handle future investment growth and product structures.
Prior to joining Athene, Ira was the Global Head of Applications Development and Delivery for the GHF Group, a global futures proprietary trading, and derivative clearing services firm, where he delivered numerous key strategic initiatives across the organization - covering Trading, Risk and Corporate systems.
Ira has over 25 years of highly successful Information Technology and management experience in both the technology and revenue generating sides of the securities business; significant capital markets, trading, ecommerce, and investment-banking knowledge, as well as deep exposure working across emerging market countries. Ira has in-depth experience in large enterprise organizations as well as start-ups. Ira held senior technology management positions at Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank and Bankers Trust. Ira holds a Bachelor of Science degree from City University of New York where he was also a Computer Information Sciences lecturer for a number of years at their School of General Studies.
He has also been very active in the securities technology industry with acting roles at SIFMA/Bond Market Association, FIX FLP Americas, CIO Forum, Wall Street and Technology Readers' Advisory Board, and Marcus Evans Events.
