The iPhone 6 is On Its Way
These days, most financial executives carry an iPhone in their pocket and an iPad in their briefcase.
But It’s already been six months since Apple’s iPhone5 was released to much fanfare – which can only mean one thing: it’s time for the rumor mill to start churning again as analysts try to figure out when the next iPhone will be released, and what new features it will have.
So here’s a rundown of the latest rumors as to what exactly the Iphone 6 will look like (and whether it is still likely to beat the competition):
Several analysts are predicting that the next iPhone, which could be called iPhone 6 or perhaps more probable given Apple’s release history, iPhone5S, will be released in August or September of 2013.
A number of industry experts are convinced that Apple’s next release will be a cheaper, iPhone Mini or Nano designed to attract consumers in emerging markets. But others suggests Apple will delay the release of its cheaper iPhone back to 2014, and that rather than a smaller phone, its "iPhone Mini" will actually feature a 4.5-inch screen - 0.5-inches larger than the current iPhone 5 display, the Huffington Post reports.
In addition to having a 4.5 inch screen – or even a 4.8 inch screen some say - the new iPhone might not have a home button and will contain a quad-core processor, Jeffries analyst Peter Misek said, according to Gottabemobile.
If the rumors are true, the iPhone 6 won’t be as large as the Galaxy Note 2, but will compete with the rumored 4.99-inch display on the Samsung Galaxy S4, the 4.8-inch display on the HTC One and the 5-inch display on the Sony Xperia Z, Gottabemobile suggests.
