Trema launches NAV Monitor; UBS Wealth Management Australia implements Sanchez Portfolio; Northstar updates enterprise-advisery platform.

Trema launches NAV Monitor.

Trema, a London-based software provider, has released a tool to offer asset managers a method of calculating in real-time and reporting net asset values. The NAV Monitor, which is immediately available to all Trema clients, will integrate into the vendor's fund-management system, Finance KIT.

According to a statement, the solution aims to address the issue of market timing and late trading. NAV Monitor offers a published price with an audit trail to make transparent discrepancies between the fund-unit value and the time of the subscription.

UBS Wealth Management Australia implements Sanchez Portfolio.

UBS Wealth Management Australia has rolled out a portfolio and customer-relationship-management system from Sanchez Computer Associates. The Malvern, Pa.-based vendor has implemented Sanchez Portfolio at the firm, which gives wealth managers integrated CRM and portfolio-management capabilities in asset types including equities, options, cash, margin, and fixed income.

In addition, the solution includes support for compliance measures, such as "Statement of Advice" reporting, which is required under the Australian Financial Services Reform Act.

Northstar updates enterprise-advisery platform.

Wealth-management and asset-management vendor Northstar has released the latest version of its enterprise-advisery platform, version 2.0. The platform is designed to eliminate proprietary wealth-management platforms with an integrated solution that follows the lifecycle of the investment process.

The updated version offers various new capabilities. They include updated investor profiling and new-business prospecting, customizable wealth planning, and an open-architecture investment catalog spanning asset classes. In addition, the tool now has client-portfolio management for views of holdings, transactions and performance views, and integrated presentation and proposal generation.

It wasn't all bad luck for the capital markets this week: Hedge funds had a decent first quarter despite a slowdown in jobs numbers, BlackRock might be heading into new territory as hedge fund managers take a hard look at their counterparties, and the head of the IMF didn't pull any punches when assessing today's global economy. At least we can admire the nice weather and some of the best quotes of the week.
