Value Line Asset Management, a New York-based investment manager, recently went live on SunGard Investment Management Systems' IMpower. IMpower will provide the firm with real-time, global, browser-based portfolio management. Value Line has already begun utilizing IMpower for accounting operations, and will eventually take advantage of the solution's capability for modeling and rebalancing, trading, compliance, performance, client reporting and internal and external straight-through processing in coordination with the SunGard Transaction Network.
Man Capital Foreign Exchange has implemented OrderTrac Global Order Management System from PFS TraderTools. The solution will provide the firm with a single platform for its order-management activity for a wider range of FX and metals orders, including orders developed for the FX derivative market. The solution will be utilized in Man's New York and London offices.
Buy-side trade-order-management-system provider, Macgregor, announced that the Macgregor FIX Network has certified 162 new broker FIX connections in April. The vendor says that the connections represent a 25 percent increase over the past several months. In addition, Macgregor notes that 10 percent of the connections were for non-US trading.
Advent Software, a California-based vendor for investment-management solutions, recently announced the resignation of Peter Caswell, president and chief executive officer. Caswell, who has been with the vendor since 1993, has not yet been replaced, and his duties will be temporarily assumed by Stephanie DiMarco, chairman and founder of Advent.
