20 Year Wall Street Data Veteran Roseann Palmieri Joins Merrill Lynch
Twenty-year Wall Street data management veteran Roseann Palmieri has joined Merrill Lynch as managing director, sales and data technology.
Palmieri's career -- including 10 years at Morgan Stanley, six years at Deutsche Bank and, most recently, four years at Bank of America Securities -- has touched almost every part of the data management business. Her experiences with corporate client data at Morgan Stanley, building data management disciplines for front-office equities at Deutsche Bank and building up Bank of America Securities' reference data capabilities will all come together at Merrill Lynch.
"Here at Merrill Lynch I'm really marrying all of my experiences together in one position," Palmieri says. "Before coming to Merrill Lynch, at any level of my career, [the strategy] always focused ... on different reference data components at different times. Now, at Merrill Lynch, we are bringing it all together, and I am very excited."
Palmieri says she is focusing on three key initiatives: establishing a foundational data management office (DMO) capability across global markets; delivering a client profiling system that streamlines the client acquisition process for institutional clients; and building capabilities that bring together client data across the global markets and investment banking divisions to help make better business decisions based on the relationship capital shared between the groups.
