FT Interactive Data has added a U.S. fixed-income data service to the evaluated bond-pricing module of its FTS desktop portfolio administration tool. The new service includes coverage of the global-fixed-income market with daily evaluations for more than 1.5 million fixed-income issues including corporate bonds, government bonds, collateralized mortgage obligations and asset-and mortgage-backed securities. Users can also perform research online through a link to the fixed income database.
Infonet Services Corp. has been tapped to provide a redundant wide-area network for Sumitomo Trust & Banking Co. (USA). The IP network will enable STBUSA to provide access to its primary network to ensure data communication between its offices in the U.S. and Japan.

Nordea, a Scandinavian financial-services firm, is piloting a real-time multimedia market information service for investors over Nokia phones. The mobile service provides global-market news and share quotes from the major international stock exchange, including the NYSE, Nasdaq, London, Frankfurt, Paris, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Helsinki and Tallinn. The service also includes stock price and news alerts via mobile phone or e-mail.
