Flatley Joins Deutsche Bank

At press time, Rob Flatley joined Deutsche Bank as managing director and head of global electronic execution for equities.

Flatley will report to both Jon Hitchon, head of global prime services; and Robert Karofsky, head of global markets equity in North America. He will be based in the firm's New York office.

Previously, Flatley was managing director in electronic trading services at Banc of America Securities. While there, he helped the firm develop algorithmic trading and direct-market-access services for equities and derivatives. Prior to joining Banc of America Securities, Flatley served as chief operating officer of Boston-based order management systems provider Macgregor.

"Rob's proven ability to implement successful algorithmic and DMA platforms will be invaluable as we increase our capabilities in this area," noted Karofsky in a company release.

Deutsche Bank also has appointed Ralf Roth as head of business development for global equities electronic execution within Global Prime Services. In this role, Roth will work closely with Flatley to enhance Deutsche Bank's global equities electronic execution capabilities. Flatley could not be reached for comment by press time.
