CBOT installs wireless phone system for floor traders; Tullett Liberty renews software contract with Future Dynamics; Bank of China installs Summit Systems

The Chicago Board Of Trade (CBOT) installed a wireless-telephone system from SpectraLink on the financial and agricultural trading floors. The CBOT is deploying SpectraLink's Link Wireless Telephone System (WTS) to provide futures and options traders with increased mobility in a demanding trading environment.

The CBOT selected Link WTS for its seamless-telephone system integration and network capacity. The wireless system integrates with the exchange's existing Nortel Networks PBX and provides users with the same functionality in their existing systems. With the new wireless phones, traders can move throughout the facility with clear, uninterrupted voice service supported by the 64 Base Stations embedded underneath the 45,000 square-foot trading floor.
