Chyla Joins Selerity From Alliance Berenstein
Selerity, a real-time event data solution provider, today announced the appointment of Thomas Chyla as Vice President of Product Strategy. Before joining Selerity, Chyla worked at AllianceBernstein as a vice president of product development in the alternative investments division.
According to a press statement, "Chyla's expertise will drive the development and management of new mission-critical product offerings that enhance how investment firms leverage event data."
Chyla joins Selerity with deep knowledge of the hedge fund industry. He will work out of Selerity's Jersey City office and report directly to Ryan Terpstra, founder and CEO of Selerity.
"As we continue to expand Selerity into new geographies and markets, it's important that we have the right team to help develop and execute our growth strategy," says Terpstra. "Thomas brings extensive knowledge of event-driven trading and capital markets research to Selerity. I'm very excited to have him on board."
Prior to working at Alliance, Chyla held various positions at Harbert Management Corp., a multi-strategy hedge fund including, Director of Investments and Senior Analyst. He also held research positions at several firms including, Avery Partners, RD Capital and Ascent/Meredith Asset Management. Chyla has a B.A. in Biology from The University of Pennsylvania and is fluent in Polish.
