New & Improved: Access beefs up enrollment system
Software provider Access360 has released enRole 4.0, the latest version of its provisioning software that investment firms can use to control user access to their applications.
Brian Anderson, chief marketing officer at the Irvine, Calif.-based firm says that investment firms "have a tremendous challenge in reconciling who should have access to what resources in the enterprise versus who actually has access."
EnRole helps firms automate the process of allowing employees, suppliers and even customers to gain access rights to applications they need either inside or outside the firm's firewall. Anderson says that could include things like enrollment for investment research.
Administrators can centrally control access rights and modify them as employees are hired, fired or promoted, or when suppliers or customers are added or deleted.
The latest version is directory based and includes enhanced security powered by VeriSign. The architecture has also been revamped to allow the product to run over a cluster of servers, providing better availability in the event of a system crash.
