Soros Fund Management LLC of New York has licensed Algo Collateral solution for OTC derivative margining from Algorithmics Incorporated, marking one of the biggest hedge fund clients for the enterprise-risk management vendor. Soros also purchased Algo Collateral's Asset Management module for in-depth analysis of credit exposures to counterparties, custodians and security issuers across all products by industry, country, credit rating and product type.

DekaBank, one of Germany's financial-services companies, has gone live with Trema's treasury, risk and asset-management system, Finance KIT. DekaBank, an investment bank that merged with Deutsche Girozentrale, a wholesale bank, will use the system in both its Frankfurt and Luxembourg branches for capturing and processing foreign-exchange and money-market deals, managing bank-wide foreign exchange risk and integrating liquidity management.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) went live with Accurate Software's Operational Risk Management solution, aimed at the reconciliation of payments and securities messages. ERBD is a government-owned bank that attempts to foster the transition from centrally planned to market economies in central and Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

On April 9th, Derivatech will sponsor a free Lepus seminar on "Winning in FX Exotic Options: Issues and Answers. A distinguished panel of experts from Bear Stearns, HboS and Deutsche Bank will discuss issues such as development of pricing models, operational efficiency (STP) and operational controls as well as risk management in exotic products.
