RISK MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY BRIEFS

CFF selects SunGard's BancWare product for cross-currency; NumeriX and Summit Systems form strategic partnership to integrate Summit's transaction processing and valuations system with NumeriX's analytics engine; Gruppo Monte Paschi Asset Management implements Barra TotalRisk System to manage risk across firm.

Credit Foncier de France (CFF) has selected SunGard's BancWare product for cross-currency, interest-rate-risk management and product modeling. CFF will use BancWare Insight to collect, validate and enrich its positions from six legacy systems for transfer price calculation and assignment. The data will then be imported into BancWare Convergence for asset/liability management and advanced multi-currency behavior modeling. The BancWare solution will also be used to support CFF's mortgage business.

NumeriX and Summit Systems have formed a strategic partnership to integrate Summit's transaction processing and valuations system with NumeriX's analytics engine. The combined solution provides speed and accuracy for pricing a wide range of vanilla and exotic derivatives instruments. More specifically, the NumeriX CrossAsset analytics engine will be seamlessly integrated with Summit trading and analytic applications for calibration, valuation and simulation methodologies to augment existing Summit analytics, as well as proprietary-client methodologies.

Gruppo Monte Paschi Asset Management, an Italian asset-management firm owned by Gruppo Monte Paschi Bank Group, has implemented the Barra TotalRisk System to manage risk across the firm. The system aggregates different levels for market risk for a consistent view and allows users to run scenario analysis and stress testing to create reports for executive officers, institutional clients and fund managers.
