Prospects who test drive the new site can enter a drawing to win a Cadillac CTS.1

optionsXpress rolled out a redesigned Web site this week giving prospective customers a pre-log in area where they can access educational content before opening an account.

"Our education platform has gone through an evolutionary shift in which we now package our events, Webinars, and text-based content to a more structured curricula-based offering, " stated David Fisher, CEO, optionsXpress Holdings, Inc., in Wednesday's announcement.

Starting next week, the online broker will offer a live video each night of the week on topics such as, "How to Trade Options During Expiration Week, Introduction to Stock Futures and Can Volatility Ever Be Good?

Visitors to the site can also view a series of videos and written content based on their product interests and/or their trading experience level, according to the release. Someone can click on novice, intermediate or advanced levels and view educational content which fall under three categories: options, futures and other — which includes stocks, bonds, mutual funds and ETFs.

Most of the educational content was previously available only to customers, the company said. In fact, the online broker has created a Test-Drive feature where prospects that sign up to test its tools and educational resources for 10 days before opening an account. If they sign up for the Test Drive before Oct. 6, 2008, they will be entered to win a new 2008 Cadillac CTS.1

As part of the redesign, optionsXpress has improved the overall speed of the site, developed more intuitive navigation and introduced the concept of content hubs, allowing guests to bring together categorized content in one easy to use landing page. For example, it's Toolbox hub makes it easier for users to find trading tools based on a specific product or skill level.

This is optionsXpress's fourth major site release in 2008, according to the equity options and futures broker which said it made more than 1,000 enhancements to the platform.
