Global Fund Services Division of Bank of Bermuda introduces GFSRiskPlus
The Bank of Bermuda Limited's Global Fund Services (GFS) Division, which is a member of the HSBC Group, has launched GFSRiskPlus, a Web-based risk-management and analytics system targeted at alternative-investment fund-managers.
GFSRiskPlus was developed with SunGard's Reech, a provider of risk management, pricing and independent portfolio-valuation services. It allows managers to proactively manage and analyze the risk in their portfolios, the company says.
"Many of our clients trade complex strategies and, for this reason, we chose SunGard's Reech as the underlying technology to GFSRiskPlus," states Drew Douglas, head of product management for GFS in the release. "It has the ability to support a broad range of asset classes and financial instruments, and its Internet availability eliminates integration and external data-management concerns," he adds.
GFSRiskPlus enables managers to view different types of risk including market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk and scenario analysis. Results can be viewed across such categories as market and sector results, value at risk, Beta results, relative value at risk, Greeks, liquidity results, short sensitivity and scenario analysis. GFSRisk reports have been developed so that a manager can choose to distribute to underlying investors.
