ISITC Taps Loomis Sayles' Snitzer as Next Chair
ISITC — The International Securities Association for Institutional Trade Communication is tapping Jan Ellis Snitzer, VP at Loomis, Sayles & Co., the mutual fund management firm based in Boston, to serve as the organization’s next chair of for 2012-2013.
ISITC is the industry trade group focused on standards in transaction processing and related communications.
Snitzer will be taking over the chairmanship from Gary Probert, who completed his two-year term as Chair in December 2011.
Snitzer has been a member of ISITC since 2001 and has served on the ISITC North America Board of Directors as well as acted as the Executive Sponsor for the ISITC Investment Management Forum and the Technology & Standards Working Group. She most recently held the position of first vice chair, from which she automatically succeeds to the position of chair.
“Financial services firms are facing increasingly complex pressures as a result of new regulatory initiatives and expanded product lines,” commented Snitzer in the press statement. “Industry collaboration has never been more important and we will continue to do the work we’ve done over the last 20 years as a longstanding leader in the development of standards.”
