LVM Chooses SimCorp Dimension for Asset Management; SunGard Releases InvesTier Version 3.0; Montrachet Capital Management Supports Launch of New Fund, D3 Partners

Landwirtschaftlicher Versicherungsverein Munster a.G. (LVM), a German insurance company, has selected SimCorp Dimension for their asset management activities. The front-to-back solution will unify LVM's system landscape for portfolio management.

According to the release, LVM's main reason for choosing SimCorp's investment management system is because it's a fully integrated solution. "With the investment in SimCorp Dimension we are strengthening our separate corporate entity within asset management," said Jochen Herwig, a member of LVM's Board of Directors responsible for accounting and finance, in a statement. "For us, professional capital investment is a key factor in achieving successful life insurance products and in positioning ourselves against our competitors."

--SunGard Releases InvesTier Version 3.0

SunGard, a Wayne, Penn.-based technology provider, has released InvesTier version 3.0., an enhanced version of InvesTier, a solution that automates the investor accounting and reporting workflow of alternative investment firms. The solution's new features include support for evolving segregated portfolio requirements for the handling of side pockets and restricted investments; a one-stop fund setup to help simplify the setup process for complicated fund structures; and enhanced fee capabilities that address complex hedge fund fee structures.

"This release represents a major step forward and reinforces our commitment to developing a comprehensive partner and shareholder accounting and reporting solution for hedge funds and funds of funds," said Doug Morgan, president of SunGard's InvesTier business unit, in the press release.

--Montrachet Capital Management Supports Launch of New Fund, D3 Partners

Montrachet Capital Management has launched D3 Partners, a cross-asset volatility arbitrage fund with full trading, portfolio and risk management capabilities from Derivatives.com. Derivatives.com is a full-service, investment management solution hosted by New York-based Imagine software. D3 Partners is Montrachet Capital Management's first fund.

Montrachet Capital Management is a spinoff fund manager created by TF Asset Management, a New York-based firm with over $100 million in assets under management. The new fund seeks to arbitrage related volatility surfaces both across and within multiple asset classes globally. Imagine's hosted service supplies D3 Partners with real-time pricing and risk management of derivatives and underlyings across all four of the major asset classes, including fixed income and commodities. Providing a comprehensive front-to-back office solution for its diverse portfolios, Derivatives.com allows Montrachet Capital Management to mitigate risk as it expands into new asset classes and more complex trading strategies.
