StreamBase Connects to Canada's Pure Trading

StreamBase’s connectivity to Pure Trading reflects the exchange's goal of enabling the Canadian trading community to take advantage of cutting-edge trading technologies, while delivering cost savings and enhancing the competitiveness of the Canadian markets.

StreamBase Systems, a provider of Complex Event Processing (CEP) technology for the global capital markets, announced today that its software has been extended to connect to Pure Trading, a facility of CNSX Markets Inc.

CNSX Markets is a privately held Canadian company, recognized as a stock exchange, that operates two markets—The Canadian National Stock Exchange (CNSX) and Pure Trading, a continuous auction market with a high capacity and low-latency trading environment.

StreamBase’s connectivity to Pure Trading reflects the exchange's goal of enabling the Canadian trading community to take advantage of cutting-edge trading technologies, while delivering cost savings and enhancing the competitiveness of the Canadian markets.

“The connectivity between Pure Trading and StreamBase will enable firms to benefit from high-speed connectivity to our low-latency order execution and routing solutions,” said Ian Bandeen, Vice-Chair and CEO of CNSX Markets, in a company release. “Pure Trading provides StreamBase users with a sophisticated Canadian market venue to access liquidity and execute high-speed order routing strategies using the unparalleled performance of the StreamBase CEP platform.”

“The StreamBase CEP platform has consistently improved its capabilities and extended the range of connectivity options,” said Mark Palmer, CEO of StreamBase, in the release. “We are committed to providing our customers with access to multiple exchanges and the competitive advantage of high speed execution. Connecting to Pure shows our focus and commitment to the Canadian market.”
