Saxon Technologies Selects Wesley Clover IP Voice Communications Platform for Broker Dealer

Trading floor technology expert team to bring advanced IP turrets to multi-location broker dealer.

Wesley Clover Solutions, a provider of IP voice communications platforms for financial trading firms and command/control centers, announced that Saxon Technologies, a full-service technologies consulting firm, has selected the Wesley Clover Solutions IP Voice Communications Platform (VCP) to provide a major capital markets client with a single, virtualized communication infrastructure for 300 staff, including 150 trading positions, across more than ten office locations.

Based in New York, Saxon Technologies specializes in the provision of custom-designed technology solutions helping enterprises throughout North America and Europe optimize their communications infrastructure. "Saxon Technologies' client is typical of a trend we are seeing for growing firms to take advantage of the dislocation in financial markets by hiring teams of traders from tier one players," stated Chris Corridon, SVP of marketing for Wesley Clover Solutions.

"This company needed a platform that was flexible and cost-effective enough for any size office with sophisticated turret and hoot 'n' holler functionality built-in in order to meet the expectations of these experienced traders being recruited in from large firms," he added. Wesley Clover Solutions' Voice Communications Platform offers significant advantages for financial trading enterprises by combining enterprise voice (PBX) and trading turret system capability into a single, scalable IP platform, according to the release.

The VCP combines standard trading turret functions that enhance a trader's productivity such as two handsets for simultaneous conversations, multiple pages of lines for rapidly prioritizing calls, hoot 'n' holler and ad hoc conferencing to share information among trading desks with an advanced suite of more than 500 features and applications previously not available to turret users.

System highlights include a single platform to accommodate both trading turret and general office staff, business continuity, with a clustered system design that ensures 100% availability, and massive scalability for up to 5,000 IP devices in compact rack-mount chassis.

"For this project we knew that our client needed a solutions provider that could be both flexible and have the ability to respond quickly," said Rebecca Jones, CEO at Saxon Technologies.
