MVS Trading Deploys Orc Software

New prop trading firm will rely on the Orc Solution for advanced options trading.

Chicago prop trading firm MVS Trading has deployed Orc Trading as the options trading platform for the firm.

The order was booked in Q4 of 2010, and the contract is based on Orc’s licensing subscription model.

MVS Trading, a new trading firm started by Alan Sartin, will rely on Orc Software’s trading platform for advanced options trading. The firm will take advantage of Orc’s new functionality for volatility trading that allows them to manage volatilities in the market. According to a press statement, “MVS Trading is seeking to grow its trading business aggressively with new traders and advanced technology.”

Sartin comments: “Having used Orc successfully at previous firms, we knew that Orc was the right solution for our sophisticated trading needs. Orc helps us to make better trades, more quickly and easily than we can on our own. We are currently seeking new traders to help leverage our investment in Orc to grow our firm aggressively.”

Steve Lukes, VP of Americas Sales at Orc Software, is predictably pleased. In a press statement, he says: “In today’s competitive trading environment, we’re seeing more and more firms look for solutions from Orc to help them gain an edge. Solid technology with the functionality that options and volatility traders demand is a requirement for our customers, and firms like MVS Trading continue to deploy Orc technology to meet their needs.”
