Kinetic Derivatives Chooses Orc Software

London-based start-up will use Orc for flow/proprietary trading of fixed income derivatives on Eurex and NYSE Euronext Liffe.

Kinetic Derivatives Ltd., a privately held trading firms specializing in derivatives, has selected Orc Software to support its newly established trading operation in London. The order will be booked in Q1, 2010 and the contract is based on Orc’s licensing subscription model, said the company’s release.

London-based Kinetic Derivatives will implement an Orc solution primarily for flow/proprietary trading of fixed income derivatives on Eurex and NYSE Euronext Liffe, according to the release.

“We chose to work with Orc Software based on our experience from trading derivatives,” commented David Kantor, a founding partner of Kinetic Derivatives, in the release. “We have great trust in Orc’s solutions and services, and feel they provide best-in-class capabilities and tools for our specific needs. Using the Orc Trading platform will provide us the flexibility and performance to quickly establish our name in the market,” stated Kantor in the release.

Orc Trading and Orc Connect provide tools for making trading and connectivity decisions, including analytics, market access, automated trading functionality and high performance futures and options trading capabilities, as well as ultra- low latency and risk management, according to the release.
