Firelake Capital Adopts Navatar's Private Equity Cloud

The CRM solution for private equity firms is built upon salesforce.com's cloud computing platform.

Firelake Capital, a California-based private equity firm, has selected Navatar Private Equity Cloud to manage their fundraising, deal flow, portfolio and capital calls/distributions, according to Navatar Group, a global cloud service provider.

Navatar Private Equity provides out-of-the-box functionality and workflows essential for private equity firms. It runs entirely in salesforce.com's cloud and is available for a low monthly fee. Non-technical staff can use the flexible reporting engine to generate reports, the company said. Without paying professional services fees, firms can implement the cloud solution within days, claims Navatar.

"We're pleased that private equity firms around the world are choosing Navatar's service," said Ketan Khandkar, Principal, Navatar Group in today’s release. "Firms can now start using a fully built solution for their CRM [customer relationship management] and operations for one small monthly fee - no capital expenditure, no implementation costs, free upgrades and zero maintenance costs."

Navatar Private Equity runs on most editions of salesforce.com's service. There is no other software, hardware, subscription or services needed, explains the company in its release. All code as well as client data is encrypted and stored on salesforce.com servers.

Private equity firms can use Navatar to manage all aspects of the fund lifecycle; identify potential investors for a fund; track investor commitments; manage co-investments; track side letters and limited partner agreements; identify correspondence for each fund; track deal flow/deals in the pipeline; manage capital calls & distributions; track portfolio company performance; manage Fund of Funds portfolio; stay connected anywhere through BlackBerry, iPhone, PDA; and fully integrate with MS Outlook and MS Exchange.
