Exegy Deploys Ultra-Low Latency Ticker Plant on Options PIPE Platform

Both buy-side and sell-side firms may now leverage the Exegy Ticker Plant as a fully optimized and managed proximity-hosting service powered by the Options PIPE platform, the vendor said.

Options IT, a provider of high-performance technology Infrastructure-as-a-Service, ultra-low latency market data and connectivity for buy-side and sell-side firms, announced that Exegy Incorporated, the ultra-high performance market data appliance company, has deployed its ultra-low latency Exegy Ticker Plant on the Options PIPE platform.

Both buy-side and sell-side firms may now leverage the Exegy Ticker Plant as a fully optimized and managed proximity-hosting service powered by the Options PIPE platform. Deploying the Exegy Ticker Plant on the Options PIPE platform provides clients with a high-performance ticker plant capability that is fully redundant and quickly deployed in a cost efficient manner, according to the vendor.

The Option PIPE platform is a fully optimized and managed, software-vendor-neutral, global technology infrastructure, providing clients with the efficiencies of a hosted technology service delivered with the scalability, strength and security of an enterprise solution.

The hosted Exegy Ticker Plant is the first hardware-accelerated market data appliance built from the ground up to ensure high-frequency traders continuously have the best view of the electronic markets.

"We're delighted to work with Exegy to provide a managed hosting environment for Options PIPE clients who want to leverage the Exegy Ticker Plant," said Nigel Kneafsey, CEO of Options IT. "As the race to reduce latency continues to build momentum, our clients are increasingly seeking out market data applications like Exegy's that provide a competitive advantage."

Added Jim O'Donnell, chairman and CEO of Exegy: "As market data rates continue to explode, reducing data processing latency becomes increasingly important to the success of high-frequency trading strategies. We're pleased to add Options IT as one of our technology providers for our mutual clients.
