CBOE to Deploy Correlix’s Latency Measurement Service

The Chicago Board Board Options Exchange announced it will use Correlix’s latency measurement service as part of a plan to allow traders to react more quickly to shifting market conditions and better manage latency performance.

The Chicago Board Board Options Exchange announced it will use Correlix’s latency measurement service as part of a plan to allow traders to react more quickly to shifting market conditions and better manage latency performance.

By using Correlix’s RaceTeam platform, the largest U.S. options exchange said it will provide real-time latency information to traders and give them more transparency into how order are being processed. RaceTeam, Correlix’s platform for measuring latency, is a venue-neutral service that allows traders to manage and receive real-time latency data from multiple trading venues.

“As customer’s strategies evolve to span multiple asset classes, the ability to integrate cross-asset latency data is a key ingredient in identifying new opportunities,” Correlix founder and president Shawn Melamed said in a statement.

The arrangement between Correlix and the CBOE is scheduled to kick in later this year, the companies said.
