Bloomberg Unveils New Version of iPad App

A revised edition of Bloomberg Anywhere for iPad debuted today which includes access to Instant Bloomberg, advanced mobile charting and industry-specific dashboards.

Bloomberg LP is unveiling the next version of the Bloomberg Anywhere app for iPad, the company announced today.

The move is a sign that mobile access is very important to Bloomberg customers who rely on the firm’s data, news and analytics in a fast moving global market.

“We believe the redesigned app will take accessing financial information on a mobile platform to a new level of sophistication with its enhanced navigation and added features straight from the Bloomberg Professional service,” stated John Waanders, Head of Bloomberg Anywhere Mobile in the release. Bloomberg Anywhere’s “user experience” design team work directly with customers to test the app's design elements and capabilities, and listening to subscribers' feedback, he said. As a result, Bloomberg developed additional features that focus on three specific areas:

• Access to Instant Bloomberg, the communications tool financial executives rely upon most to communicate

• Advanced mobile charting capabilities

• Access to specialty, industry-specific dashboards through BI (Bloomberg Industries)

Bloomberg Professional service subscribers can download the new iPad app for free at the AppStore.
