BATS Options Unveils Suite of Risk Management Tools

BATS Options announced the roll out of a new suite of free risk management tools aimed at allowing users to set trading parameters and prevent unwanted executions.

BATS Options announced the roll out of a new suite of free risk management tools aimed at allowing users to set trading parameters and prevent unwanted executions.

The firm said the tools are customizable and enable traders to set parameters on the timeframe of executions, the number of contracts executed and notional volume limitations. BATS Options said these tools will ultimately help options traders mitigate risk.

“The BATS Options platform is positioned to help participants navigate the transition from a quote driven market to an order driven one,” Jeromee Johnson, the head of BATS Options said in a release. “Controlling execution is critical considering the breadth of order exposure that liquidity providers take on in the options markets.”
