Lighthouse Financial Launches Derivatives Operation

Lighthouse Financial is expanding its Institutional Sales and Trading operations with a new derivatives platform.

The derivatives team will have 12 professionals and be led by Tim Youssef and Nimit Savani, who will be managing directors and co-heads of derivatives.

The Lighthouse derivatives platform will handle agency only transaction and will cover single stock listed and OTC options; ETF listed and OTC options; index listed and OTC options in addition to all delta-1 products; structured products; equity derivatives coverage in the U.S. and Canada; credit derivatives; and corporate bonds.

In a statement, Rob Weinstein, Lighthouse Financial Partner and Head of Institutional Sales & Trading, said, “The knowledge, experience and relationships of these seasoned professionals will enhance our equities and credit platforms and help to continue the expansion of our firm’s Institutional Sales & Trading Operations.”

He added, “Challenging market conditions and an emphasis on cost savings and risk management have created a unique opportunity to expand Lighthouse Financial’s overall Institutional Sales & Trading Operations offering. The expertise and leadership of Tim Youssef and Nimit Savani will be of tremendous value to our clients.”

Youssef was most recently partner and head of U.S. derivatives at Louis Capital Markets and has also served as managing director at Burlington Capital Markets.

Savani was previously director of the equity derivatives group at Louis Capital Markets and was a senior equity derivatives trader at Tahoe Trading Company and Botta Capital Management before that.
