DTCC Appoints Faryniarz to Market Structure Position

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has appointed Daniel Faryniarz to the newly created position of managing director, Market Structure and Industry Relations.

This is the DTCC’s second recent hire in the market structure area. Rob Hegarty, previously with TowerGroup, will also join the firm this month as managing director of market structure.

Faryniarz will help in the DTCC’s efforts to develop new market opportunities in the front office and trading communities. He will report to James Leonard, managing director of strategy and marketing at DTCC.

Previously, Faryniarz was a director in Merrill Lynch’s Global Rate Sales group and he has more than 20 years of experience in fixed-income and derivatives sales.

In a statement, Michael Bodson, DTCC executive managing director, Business Management and Strategy, said, “Danny comes to DTCC at a time of great change and opportunity for the industry and our customers. He is joining a team that will guide DTCC's strategic direction through outreach to new clients and to new areas at existing client firms, where demand is growing for automated post-trade solutions.”

He added, “Danny's broad and deep knowledge of customers and their needs, and his understanding of complex derivative products will be an important asset for DTCC as we continue to broaden the markets we serve.”
