ClariFI Launches Event Study on Enhancements to Investment Management Platform

Traditional and quantitative investors to benefit from new functionality and expanded data coverage options

ClariFI, a Standard & Poor's Capital IQ business and provider of software and services focused on providing investment managers with a complete solution to their research and production workflows, is launching Event Study. It is the latest addition to ClariFI's suite of investment management applications.

Event Study features an intuitive graphical interface and robust reporting functions enabling portfolio managers and researchers to quickly and easily determine the impact of discrete events on future returns for optimal investment strategies. In addition, its open architecture and extensive data integration capabilities allow managers to perform state-of-the-art event analysis, using any combination of fundamental, analyst estimate, or market data; raw data sources, such as news feeds; and key development data, which includes insider transactions, executive changes, share repurchases, lawsuits, company announcements, and other qualitative information.

"The release of Event Study further underlines our commitment to developing top-level innovative solutions that meet clients' needs and set us apart from the competition. This unique offering provides the bridge between fundamental insight and sophisticated analysis techniques, thus representing significant advances in investment management software and new opportunities to make our technology accessible to a broader audience," said Donovan Goodreau, vice president of sales and business development at ClariFI, in a press release.
