Citi Launches iPad IPO Solution For Issuers

Issuers will receive dedicated tablet computers pre-loaded with a comprehensive suite of applications.

Citi announced the launch of Citi Issuer Access, a tablet-based suite of capital markets content designed specifically for issuers involved in the capital formation process.

The content will be available on the iPad. Citi said it will be available on all tablets that have Safari browser, such as the iPad.

Citi said the suite of applications will also be available on tablets that run the Internet Explorer browser -- although at press time it was unable to give the names of these tablets.

As part of this initiative, issuers will receive dedicated tablet computers pre-loaded with a comprehensive suite of applications, including a real time issuer view into the order book, access to investor profiles, dynamic roadshow travel and meeting schedule, post-pricing investor relations services and support.

Citi Issuer Access will provide a transparent medium for both Citi and the issuer to remain connected on all offering-related matters, foster a closer working relationship, and ensure greater transparency to corporate executives throughout the offering process, it said in a release.

"Our approach in any capital raising initiative is to treat the issuer as a partner and active participant in the offering process. Citi Issuer Access affirms our commitment to transparency and efficient delivery of information to our issuing clients," said John Chirico, Co-Head of Capital Markets Origination Americas at Citi.

To bring this innovative capability to market, Citi chose to partner with Ipreo, a top-tier financial services data and technology provider. Ipreo is a leading provider of new issuance software, workflow solutions, market intelligence and data to both capital markets and corporate investor relations professionals.

Each tablet will be delivered pre-loaded with the following Citi Issuer Access suite of applications: An issuer view into the syndicate bookbuilding application to see the order book real time along with offering feedback, as well as a detailed roadshow travel and meeting schedule; and in-depth investor profiles, including portfolio characteristics, holdings, and investment approach.

Other features include live access to the Bigdough database of institutional contacts and advanced investor screening tools and real time market intelligence, quotes and news.

"Ipreo's entire business is centered around providing market participants with streamlined workflow solutions and actionable information - Citi Issuer Access is an innovative new delivery mechanism for both," said Scott Ganeles, CEO of Ipreo.

"We're pleased to be able to leverage our unique understanding of both the capital markets and corporate issuers to support Citi in bringing this innovative experience to their clients."

In addition to the offering related tools and content listed above, each tablet may be loaded with a collection of additional applications and content based on each user's preferences.

"Citi is committed to technology innovation at the forefront of the capital markets. We believe mobile connectivity through Citi Issuer Access will enhance an executive's experience throughout the capital formation process," said Philip Drury, Head of Equity Syndicate Americas at Citi.
