Knight's Stephen Kay Named 2010-2011 President of STANY New York

During his one-year term, Kay will focus on STANY’s educational role, helping members understand new regulations and other issues affecting the markets.

Knight announced that Stephen Kay, managing director, broker-dealer sales and relationship management, has been named the 2010-2011 President of the Security Traders Association (STANY) of New York, effective August 1. At Knight, Kay is responsible for the client service and relationship management efforts of Knight’s broker-dealer business, including equities and its growing options market-making operation.

During his one-year term, Kay will focus on STANY’s educational role, helping members understand new regulations and other issues affecting the markets and, ultimately, their work. This is his second run as STANY president. He held the position in 2007-2008, as well as served as a member of STANY’s Executive and Trading Issues committees.

Prior to joining Knight in 2005, Mr. Kay previously worked in broker-dealer client management, specialist operations and trading.
