Chase.com Architect Leaves JPMC

Michael Mazza, known as "the father of chase.com," has left JPMorgan Chase (JPMC), where he led the development of the Web business, to form and serve as managing director of recruitment firm PRI Technology, the IT-focused New York-based presence of Perennial Resources International.

Michael Mazza, known as "the father of chase.com," has left JPMorgan Chase (JPMC), where he led the development of the Web business, to form and serve as managing director of recruitment firm PRI Technology, the IT-focused New York-based presence of Perennial Resources International.

"After the last merger with Bank One, I just ... felt it was time for me to look elsewhere," says Mazza of his decision to leave JPMC. "The environment was very different from that in which I had been successful."

In his 12 years at JPMC, Mazza served in several roles, including head of production assurance in the corporate Internet group, technical director of the Internet project office and lead architect of LabMorgan.
