The Power of Partnerships

We've decided to take some of our own advice. Time and time again, we've talked to you about the importance of integrating technology and processes among synergistic departments.

We've decided to take some of our own advice. Time and time again, we've talked to you about the importance of integrating technology and processes among synergistic departments. We've told you that integrating will allow you to leverage each other's skills and expertise, share ideas, and create a more connected organization to better serve your customers. We've also said you'd cut costs and run a more efficient business by centralizing operations. As a result, on Tuesday, May 27, we announced the creation of the Informationweek Media Network.

What is the Informationweek Media Network? It is essentially the integration of several synergistic CMP brands under CMP's flagship publication, Informationweek. As most of you know, Informationweek is the most powerful IT brand in the world with 440,000 readers, award-winning editorial and a strong research arm. Being part of the Informationweek Media Network will allow us to leverage their infrastructure to offer you more.

That said, all of the publications in the network will remain their own independent brands, but will share resources and ideas. The portfolio will consist of two horizontally focused business and technology publications - Informationweek and Optimize - and five vertically focused business and technology publications - Wall Street & Technology, Insurance & Technology, Bank Systems & Technology, Government Enterprise and the soon-to-be-launched Healthcare Enterprise.

What does this mean to you? The changes may seem slight, however, it means that we will have added resources, such as independent research and additional content, to offer you a greater breadth of coverage. It also means that we will have a wide array of editors to discuss new ideas and concepts and share best practices across brands - all to deliver more value to you.

Leveraging some of Infor-mationweek's existing infrastructure will also allow us to grow our events business and create research specifically for our market. From the start, we will certainly be able to provide you will research on horizontal technologies such as security, storage, PCs, etc, which we haven't had the resources to do in the past.

After writing about integration for so many years, we are finally knocking down internal walls to unleash greater value to the communities we serve. We are excited about the integration and confident that you will experience the power that a promising partnership can bring.
