Momentum Asset Management Opts for Charles River IMS

The South African asset manager said the move was driven by a need to better handle a growing client base.

South African buy-side firm Momentum Asset Management announced it will be using Charles Rivers' platform to automate its portfolio management, and to manage orders and executions.

The firm said it was driven to make the move by an expanding South African client base. Momentum added that it use the Charles River IMS to conduct compliance monitoring across its equity, fixed income and derivatives operations.

"With the Charles River IMS, we have the ability to handle all asset classes and generate a complete audit trail by using one system throughout the trade lifecycle," Momentum Chief Executive Sibusiso Mabuza said in a statement.
