Radianz, the joint Reuters and Equant networking venture for the financial services industry, has appointed Kevin Formby as head of U.S. sales. Formby, who previously served as vice president for strategic business development at Radianz, will now be managing Radianz's sales offices in Boston, Chicago, New York and San Francisco and will continue to lead strategic initiatives linked to sales activities.
Instinet Research analysts will now provide twice daily, live market analysis from the Instinet trading floor to Yahoo! FinanceVision. The broadcasts will take place from the trading floor once before 9:30 a.m. and once after 4 p.m. to provide pre- and post- market analysis. Instinet Research is the investment research arm of Instinet Corporation and offers institutional investors proprietary research covering investment strategy, technical analysis and trading research, as well as access to a network of over 100 independent investment research providers.
Bridge has appointed Scott Parsons as its new chief scientist, taking over for Max Mutrux who will be moving to Savvis Communications. Parsons will be responsible for providing expert technical and software advice on all aspects of Bridge products and services technology with emphasis on system architecture and strategic planning. Additionally, BridgeNews' New York Commodities Chief Correspondent Peter Rosenthal has been named to the Independent Task Force on U.S. Strategic Energy Policy. The task force will make recommendation to the bush administration on matters related to energy policy.
