Barclays Capital has renewed a two-year global contract with Reuters for financial information. In addition, Barclays will enhance its current system to the latest version of Reuters 3000 Xtra, which includes Reuters messaging. Reuters also says that Barclays will train new staff members to use the Reuters products.
The Shanghai Gold Exchange has also singed an agreement with Reuters. Reuters is now authorized to carry the SGE's data on its Reuters 3000 Xtra desktop. The SGE, which has been in operation since October 2002, is making a transition from government-controlled trading to an open-market trading practice, according to a press release.
KBC Bank and Insurance Group, a Belgium-based financial group, has selected Fame Information Services for market-data consolidation and cleansing. KBC has signed a multi-year agreement to use Fame's ReferencePoint solution to integrate multiple data sources, cleanse and distribute the data throughout internal applications. In addition, Fame says that it customized the ReferencePoint service for KBC.
Tullett Financial quote information has agreed to be distributed over MarketXS' terminal, MarketXSPro for Windows. The agreement includes real-time global fixed income, money-markets and capital-markets data and covers instrument types such as government bonds, mortgage-backed securities, spot FX, forwards, IRS, basis swaps, FX options, swaptions and caps & floors. MarketXS says that the data can be accessed as various packages, according to the needs of the customers.
