Lesko Appointed Instinet Asia CEO

Instinet has appointed Glenn Lesko CEO of Instinet Asia, overseeing the firm’s Instinet Japan Limited, Instinet Singapore Services Pte. Limited and Instinet Australia Clearing Services Pty Limited businesses.

Lesko will relocate from New York to Hong Kong for the position.

In a statement, Fumiki Kondo and Anthony Abenante, co-Chief Executive Officers of Instinet, said, “We are delighted to announce this appointment, as Glenn brings a wide range of experience, talent, vision and energy to the role. As someone with significant electronic trading experience in the region from both a buy side and sell side perspective, Glenn understands the needs of our clients in Asia and the challenges posed by today’s rapidly changing global equities market.”

Lesko was previously head of Instinet’s U.S.-based International Trading Group and joined Instinet in 2006 from CF Global Trading.
